First-time owner, could not have chosen better

My first cat and I couldn't have chosen better. The American Shorthair's easygoing nature made the learning curve gentle. He's forgiving of my mistakes, doesn't over-react to anything, and has been in robust health. The vet says he's a textbook example of a healthy cat. I feel confident as a new owner because of how uncomplicated he makes everything.
