Requires more food than you expect

The higher metabolic rate that keeps them warm means Cornish Rex eat more than comparably-sized cats. Mine eats about 20% more than the packaging suggests. This isn't a problem, just something to budget for. Make sure you're feeding enough — an underweight Cornish Rex is more vulnerable to temperature issues.
