The coat requires more care than expected

I assumed the short wavy coat would be low maintenance. It is, mostly — but Devon Rex skin can get oily and they need an occasional wipe-down, and sometimes their ears build up wax faster than other breeds. Nothing dramatic, just unexpected. The personality more than compensates but new owners should know grooming isn't entirely effortless.
