Great Scottish Fold experience — just go in with realistic expectations

My Scottish Fold Finn is 3 years old now and has been a wonderful companion. The breed lives up to its reputation: adapts well to any home. I particularly love that adorable folded ears.

My one knock is that osteochondrodysplasia causes pain. I underestimated this when I first got he. Also, expensive vet care is something you need to plan for. It's not a dealbreaker but requires commitment.

On the health front, polycystic kidney disease. Budget for that and you'll be fine. Four solid stars — would recommend to the right owner who knows what they're getting into.
