Coat requires more attention than I expected

My Tiffanie's silky coat is beautiful but it mats if I miss brushing sessions. I underestimated the grooming commitment. She needs brushing every other day and professional grooming twice a year to keep her coat in good condition. Beyond the coat she is a wonderful cat. New owners should go in with realistic expectations about the grooming time required.
