Ultimate one-person dog

She chose me from day one and that was that. My Akita has no interest in anyone else in the household, which sounds extreme but she is perfectly polite with my family, just indifferent. With me she is tender and attentive. She alerted me to a gas leak at 3am by pawing at my face. I owe her my life. Training took about a year of daily work but she is now impeccably behaved in public.
