My son's best friend

My twelve-year-old son was going through a tough time at school and our Basset Hound became his therapy. They spend hours together, the dog following him everywhere with those mournful eyes, listening without judgment. The breed is genuinely empathetic and seems to sense when someone needs comfort. Our Basset is healthy at seven years old and we are hoping for many more years with this wonderful, soulful breed.
