Wonderful dog, significant maintenance

My Bloodhound is a sweetheart but nobody warned me about the drool. It is everywhere. My walls, my ceiling, my guests. The ear smell requires diligent weekly cleaning or it becomes overwhelming. He bays loudly and my neighbours are not always charmed. He is wonderful with my family and endlessly patient with my kids. I love him completely but the upkeep is genuinely significant and worth knowing about upfront.
