Worth the extra investment

Everything about a Great Dane costs more. Food, vet visits, beds, leads, collars, boarding. The costs are genuinely significant. I budget about twice what I would for a medium dog. But my Dane gives me something no other dog has. A presence that is both comforting and impressive. She is magnificent and I am so glad I did not let the costs deter me. Just plan for them honestly before you bring one home.
