Great for cold climates

I live in a northern climate with harsh winters and my Great Pyrenees thrives in conditions that kept my previous dog indoors. She rolls in snow with visible joy and seems impervious to cold. She is calmer in cool weather than in heat and her coat is perfectly designed for outdoor life. She requires brushing and matting prevention in summer when she blows coat but otherwise her coat maintenance is straightforward.
