Rescued a racer and gained a best friend

I adopted my Greyhound from a racing rescue three years ago and he has been one of the great joys of my life. He arrived cautious and slightly bewildered by domestic life. Within a month he was sprawled on the sofa demanding belly rubs. He is a completely different animal from what people expect and I now champion this breed actively to everyone who asks. Adopt a retired racer. You will not regret it.
