Surprisingly affectionate

People think Greyhounds are aloof athletes. Mine is the most openly affectionate dog I have owned. He leans against me constantly, requests neck scratches by nudging my hand, and expresses clear displeasure when I stop. He is sensitive to my moods and responds to them. His athleticism is real and breathtaking when he sprints but it is his gentleness and warmth that define daily life with him. An underrated breed as a companion.
