Best breed for a quiet home

I retired last year and my Havanese has made the transition to a quieter pace of life wonderful. He adapts his energy to mine, is content with leisurely walks, and spends long afternoons with me in the garden without needing to be entertained. He is small enough to manage easily and gentle enough that my grandchildren can interact with him safely. He is the ideal companion for a calmer chapter of life.
