Great with kids who match his energy

My Jack Russell and my eight-year-old son are perfectly matched energy-wise. They run each other ragged in the garden for hours and both come inside equally exhausted. He is patient with my son within the context of play but he does not like being disturbed when he is napping and will growl a warning. We have taught my son to respect that boundary. For an active family with older children he is brilliant.
