Think very carefully before getting a Labrador Retriever — my honest experience

I'm writing this after 6 difficult years. I want to be clear: I don't blame the breed. The Labrador Retriever has genuine wonderful qualities — amazing with kids. But the challenges have been overwhelming for us.

sheds a LOT has been relentless. pulls on the leash was something we were told about but completely underestimated. It has affected our entire family's daily routine.

The health costs have been devastating. ear infections. We did not have adequate pet insurance and the financial strain has been significant.

One star because I feel the breed community isn't honest enough about the true demands. Some people are absolutely perfect for Labrador Retrievers. I was not one of them. Please research thoroughly.
