Beautiful breed, difficult practicalities

I love my Mastiff profoundly but I want honest information available. He eats twelve cups of food a day. His vet visits are expensive because everything is dosed by weight. He drools on my ceiling somehow. He needs a large vehicle and special pet insurance. He is not suitable for a small home. If you can genuinely accommodate all of this, the dog you get is extraordinary. But these are not trivial considerations.
