Good health with proper care

Shih Tzus have some health vulnerabilities related to their brachycephalic structure and small size. With good breeding, proper diet, and regular vet care, they live 10-16 years and generally do well. Mine is nine and still healthy and active. The eyes need cleaning regularly and teeth need daily attention, but otherwise manageable.
