Not a very active dog, if that matters to you

If you want a running or hiking companion, the Shih Tzu is not your dog. Mine is perfectly content with two short walks and indoor play. This is ideal for my lifestyle but I know active dog owners who've been disappointed. Be honest about what you want from a dog before committing to any breed.
