Prone to barking if not trained early

Yorkshire Terriers have big voices for small dogs and the tendency to use them frequently. Mine went through a barking phase that required consistent training to manage. Early socialisation and clear rules about barking made a huge difference. She's now reliably quiet unless something genuinely warrants comment. But without training, the barking can become a real issue.
