Pink eyes in bright light — manage lighting

Albino ferrets have reduced light tolerance due to their pink eyes (lack of pigment). My ferret avoids very bright areas and prefers the slightly dimmer corners of her enclosure. I avoid placing her habitat in direct sun and keep lighting moderate. In normal indoor conditions she's completely comfortable and visually capable. Just be aware that very bright environments may cause her to squint or avoid the area.
