Grooming commitment is real

Friesians are gloriously beautiful and that beauty has a price — grooming. The feathered legs need thorough cleaning and drying after wet weather to prevent mud fever and skin conditions. The mane and tail require regular conditioning to stay untangled and lustrous. My mare gets two to three hours of detailed grooming per week minimum. I enjoy it as bonding time, but prospective Friesian owners must understand the commitment involved.
