Gentle giant with enormous personality

Friesians are large horses (my gelding is 16.3hh and heavily built) but their temperament is surprisingly gentle and people-oriented. He's curious about everything and everyone, stands quietly for children to stroke him, and seems to genuinely enjoy the attention he attracts. He does require confident handling — he's powerful and can be over-enthusiastic — but he's never deliberately dangerous. A wonderful ambassador for the breed.
