Hormonal phases are genuinely challenging

Nobody warned me adequately about Amazon hormonal seasons. My normally gentle bird spent three months last spring behaving like a completely different animal. He bit me hard twice and displayed constantly. I learned to read his signals and managed it better this year. Outside of hormonal periods he is hilarious, affectionate, and a brilliant talker. Just be prepared for that seasonal challenge and know how to handle it safely.
