Surprisingly interactive for a lizard

I expected a bearded dragon to be passive and uninterested in humans. I was completely wrong. Mine bobs her head at me, waves (an actual wave gesture — it's a submission display but it looks adorable), and comes to be picked up. She flattens herself out on my chest to absorb warmth and sometimes falls asleep there. Bearded dragons are genuinely interactive in a way that surprises most new reptile keepers.
