Come running when they hear your voice

After only two weeks my guinea pigs learned to associate my voice with treats and attention. Now they sprint across their enclosure whenever I enter the room and wheek loudly until I acknowledge them. The bond that develops with guinea pigs is unlike anything I've experienced with other small pets. They actively seek out human interaction in a way that hamsters and gerbils simply don't.
