Active and full of character

Russian tortoises are far more active than their reputation suggests. Mine potters around her enclosure constantly, investigates new objects, and has a very clear daily routine. She's assertive about mealtimes — she will ram her food dish if food is late. She has favourite basking spots, favourite foods, and makes clear when she's had enough handling. A genuinely characterful animal.
