Family holiday in Brazil — kids loved it, parents survived

Took the family to Brazil for 9 days and it worked better than I'd hoped. The kids were fascinated by Christ the Redeemer — more than I expected from children who usually resist sightseeing. Food was manageable: even the pickiest eater in our group found things to eat, and acarajé went down well with everyone.

extraordinary natural diversity kept everyone engaged and gave the trip a memorable high point. Portuguese barrier was the main practical difficulty but nothing that ruined anything. Would absolutely return with them.
