My 7 days exploring Xi'an and beyond — completely worth it

I spent 7 days in China and based myself mainly in Xi'an. The city itself exceeded expectations — the Great Wall was genuinely jaw-dropping and I ended up visiting twice. Food was a highlight throughout; I must have eaten xiaolongbao every other day and have no regrets about it whatsoever.

What I didn't expect was vast natural scenery. That element really elevated the trip from good to exceptional. The locals I encountered were warm and patient with my attempts at the language. I'd encourage anyone on the fence to just book it.
