Honest review after 18 days — mostly great, a few gripes

Visited Croatia for 18 days. The positives are real: Hvar lavender fields is every bit as impressive as advertised, and the food scene around Rovinj is genuinely excellent — try burek if you haven't. crystalline sea was an unexpected bonus.

That said, island-hopping costs add up. It's not a dealbreaker but worth knowing before you go. I'd still recommend Croatia to most travellers — just manage your expectations on those specific points and you'll have a great time.
