Honest review after 18 days — mostly great, a few gripes

Visited Czech Republic for 18 days. The positives are real: Prague Castle is every bit as impressive as advertised, and the food scene around Olomouc is genuinely excellent — try smažený sýr if you haven't. affordable by Western European standards was an unexpected bonus.

That said, Prague Old Town overwhelmed with tourists. It's not a dealbreaker but worth knowing before you go. I'd still recommend Czech Republic to most travellers — just manage your expectations on those specific points and you'll have a great time.
