Family holiday in Hungary — kids loved it, parents survived

Took the family to Hungary for 16 days and it worked better than I'd hoped. The kids were fascinated by Fisherman's Bastion — more than I expected from children who usually resist sightseeing. Food was manageable: even the pickiest eater in our group found things to eat, and Hortobágy pancakes went down well with everyone.

Budapest is spectacularly beautiful kept everyone engaged and gave the trip a memorable high point. language is completely impenetrable was the main practical difficulty but nothing that ruined anything. Would absolutely return with them.
