Family holiday in Iceland — kids loved it, parents survived

Took the family to Iceland for 11 days and it worked better than I'd hoped. The kids were fascinated by Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon — more than I expected from children who usually resist sightseeing. Food was manageable: even the pickiest eater in our group found things to eat, and skyr went down well with everyone.

geological spectacle unlike anywhere on earth kept everyone engaged and gave the trip a memorable high point. Golden Circle very crowded in summer was the main practical difficulty but nothing that ruined anything. Would absolutely return with them.
