Solo trip to Maldives: everything you need to know

Did 13 days solo in Maldives and found it extremely manageable as a solo traveller. The transport network around Addu Atoll is decent and getting to Malé old Friday Mosque independently was straightforward. Met fellow travellers easily and locals were generally happy to chat.

total relaxation and luxury was a personal highlight — something I'd only found in independent travel research. One note: extremely expensive even at budget level. Nothing serious but worth knowing. The solo experience here was genuinely rewarding and I came home having learned a lot about a place I knew very little about.
