The food in Norway changed how I think about travel

I travel for food more than anything else, and Norway shot straight to the top of my culinary travel list. smoked salmon alone justified the flight, but that was just the beginning. The variety and quality in Stavanger is relentless — I didn't have a single disappointing meal in 12 days.

Flåm Railway gave context to everything I was tasting. The history and culture feeds into the food in ways you can feel. northern lights in winter completed the picture. Already planning a return trip focused entirely on eating my way through a different region.
