Honest review after 10 days — mostly great, a few gripes

Visited Philippines for 10 days. The positives are real: Chocolate Hills Bohol is every bit as impressive as advertised, and the food scene around El Nido is genuinely excellent — try halo-halo if you haven't. extraordinarily warm people was an unexpected bonus.

That said, Manila traffic is gruelling. It's not a dealbreaker but worth knowing before you go. I'd still recommend Philippines to most travellers — just manage your expectations on those specific points and you'll have a great time.
