Honeymoon in Portugal — Porto and the countryside delivered everything

We chose Portugal for our honeymoon and it was perfect for us. The romantic atmosphere in Porto at night, the drama of Cape Sagres, the intimacy of small restaurants serving grilled sardines — all of it added up to exactly what we were hoping for.

incredibly warm people became an unexpected gift — something we stumbled across that felt made for the occasion. We had 20 days and used every one of them well. Some destinations disappoint when the pressure of a special occasion is on them. Portugal didn't.
