Honeymoon in Romania — Cluj-Napoca and the countryside delivered everything

We chose Romania for our honeymoon and it was perfect for us. The romantic atmosphere in Cluj-Napoca at night, the drama of Bran Castle, the intimacy of small restaurants serving cozonac — all of it added up to exactly what we were hoping for.

spectacular and underrated Carpathian scenery became an unexpected gift — something we stumbled across that felt made for the occasion. We had 21 days and used every one of them well. Some destinations disappoint when the pressure of a special occasion is on them. Romania didn't.
