Solo trip to Saudi Arabia: everything you need to know

Did 13 days solo in Saudi Arabia and found it extremely manageable as a solo traveller. The transport network around Al-Ula is decent and getting to Jeddah corniche independently was straightforward. Met fellow travellers easily and locals were generally happy to chat.

dramatic desert landscape was a personal highlight — something I'd only found in independent travel research. One note: public transport is limited outside Riyadh. Nothing serious but worth knowing. The solo experience here was genuinely rewarding and I came home having learned a lot about a place I knew very little about.
