We chose South Africa for our honeymoon and it was perfect for us. The romantic atmosphere in Johannesburg at night, the drama of Drakensberg, the intimacy of small restaurants serving Cape Malay curry — all of it added up to exactly what we were hoping for.

world-class safari experiences became an unexpected gift — something we stumbled across that felt made for the occasion. We had 7 days and used every one of them well. Some destinations disappoint when the pressure of a special occasion is on them. South Africa didn't.
