Solo trip to South Korea: everything you need to know

Did 17 days solo in South Korea and found it extremely manageable as a solo traveller. The transport network around Jeju Island is decent and getting to Jeju Haenyeo independently was straightforward. Met fellow travellers easily and locals were generally happy to chat.

ultra-modern infrastructure was a personal highlight — something I'd only found in independent travel research. One note: language barrier outside Seoul. Nothing serious but worth knowing. The solo experience here was genuinely rewarding and I came home having learned a lot about a place I knew very little about.
