The food in Sri Lanka changed how I think about travel

I travel for food more than anything else, and Sri Lanka shot straight to the top of my culinary travel list. pol sambol alone justified the flight, but that was just the beginning. The variety and quality in Galle is relentless — I didn't have a single disappointing meal in 17 days.

Galle Fort gave context to everything I was tasting. The history and culture feeds into the food in ways you can feel. stunning landscapes packed into a small island completed the picture. Already planning a return trip focused entirely on eating my way through a different region.
