Solo trip to Switzerland: everything you need to know

Did 14 days solo in Switzerland and found it extremely manageable as a solo traveller. The transport network around Lucerne is decent and getting to Château de Chillon independently was straightforward. Met fellow travellers easily and locals were generally happy to chat.

jaw-dropping alpine scenery was a personal highlight — something I'd only found in independent travel research. One note: shops close early. Nothing serious but worth knowing. The solo experience here was genuinely rewarding and I came home having learned a lot about a place I knew very little about.
