The food in Tanzania changed how I think about travel

I travel for food more than anything else, and Tanzania shot straight to the top of my culinary travel list. spiced chai alone justified the flight, but that was just the beginning. The variety and quality in Arusha is relentless — I didn't have a single disappointing meal in 19 days.

Zanzibar beaches gave context to everything I was tasting. The history and culture feeds into the food in ways you can feel. the Great Migration is life-changing completed the picture. Already planning a return trip focused entirely on eating my way through a different region.
