Solo trip to Tanzania: everything you need to know

Did 9 days solo in Tanzania and found it extremely manageable as a solo traveller. The transport network around Stone Town Zanzibar is decent and getting to Zanzibar beaches independently was straightforward. Met fellow travellers easily and locals were generally happy to chat.

excellent conservation was a personal highlight — something I'd only found in independent travel research. One note: malaria precautions essential. Nothing serious but worth knowing. The solo experience here was genuinely rewarding and I came home having learned a lot about a place I knew very little about.
