Honest review after 19 days — mostly great, a few gripes

Visited United Arab Emirates for 19 days. The positives are real: Palm Jumeirah is every bit as impressive as advertised, and the food scene around Fujairah is genuinely excellent — try luqaimat if you haven't. amazing food from every cuisine was an unexpected bonus.

That said, alcohol only in licensed venues. It's not a dealbreaker but worth knowing before you go. I'd still recommend United Arab Emirates to most travellers — just manage your expectations on those specific points and you'll have a great time.
