My 6 days exploring Hội An and beyond — completely worth it

I spent 6 days in Vietnam and based myself mainly in Hội An. The city itself exceeded expectations — the My Son Sanctuary was genuinely jaw-dropping and I ended up visiting twice. Food was a highlight throughout; I must have eaten pho every other day and have no regrets about it whatsoever.

What I didn't expect was extraordinary food culture. That element really elevated the trip from good to exceptional. The locals I encountered were warm and patient with my attempts at the language. I'd encourage anyone on the fence to just book it.
