Honest verdict on New York Cheesecake — good but not exceptional

New York Cheesecake here was solidly made — rich and indulgent without anything to complain about. smoked brisket was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

American cuisine is a mosaic of immigrant traditions adapted over generations. The a Fourth of July cookout atmosphere was pleasant enough. root beer was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of New York Cheesecake this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
