You can taste history in Empanadas if you know what to look for. the asado is an Argentinian social institution as much as a cooking technique. The bold and satisfying character reflects those layers — Malbec wine doesn't appear by accident; it came from a specific tradition.

The a family quincho barbecue area setting made sense of it. You understand the food differently when the context is right. Fernet and cola alongside is part of that story. Some food is just fuel. Empanadas, properly made, is something more. This version told the story well.
