Decent Mishti Doi — nothing more, nothing less

Mishti Doi at this place was fine. The fresh and fishy flavour was there but not distinguished. hilsa fish was present in the right quantities but without the care that makes the difference. You can taste when something is being made to a formula.

Bengali cuisine shares roots with West Bengal India but has distinct Muslim food traditions. The a Sylheti tea estate setting was generic rather than immersive. hot sweet tea was offered but not explained. If you're in the area and want Mishti Doi it'll do. If you're going out of your way, look elsewhere.
