Finding the best Pitha in the city — a personal search

I spent three months trying every version of Pitha I could find locally. The variation in quality is extraordinary. The best version handled green chilli with genuine knowledge and the spicy and tangy result was noticeably superior.

The winning restaurant had the right a Sylheti tea estate feel — unpretentious and focused on the food. lassi was suggested correctly. Worth the search. When Pitha is made properly it's a completely different experience.
